As promised, here are the photographs from the Greenwich vintage shoot with the photographers who use the Photography Parlour forum!
This post will focus on the getting ready part of the day.
This day has been the best part of 3 months in the planning, but Funmi of FO Photography pulled it off effortlessly!
Deborah, one of the shop owners kindly agreed to open up Umi & Co Vintage at the Beehive, an eclectic vintage clothes shop in Greenwich early so that we would have a base for getting the models ready. Right next to Beehive is a vintage vinyl shop Casbah Records where we were able to photograph the lovely Jemima Williams of Little Red Robin Hood. Jemima had brought along her collection of vintage head pieces for styling the wedding model shoot, and graciously stood in as a model when some of the models booked from Model Mayhem were unfortunately unable to attend at the last moment.
As well as helping us to look after the props and wedding dresses (kindly loaned to us for the shoot by some fantastic vendors – more on them in the following posts) – Cherilyn (who is also a dress designer!), Lynsey & Paul also turned their hand to a bit of modelling!
Also working with us on the day were Sarune and Sophia Louise, and Juliet our makeup artist who were absolutely wonderful to work with on the day.
A big shout to my photographer colleagues who were also shooting on the day… Waiman, Adam, Kirsten, Lisa, Marie, Claire, and Annelie.
After shooting in the Beehive and Casbah Records, our next location was the Meridian Adventure Play centre, Thames Street Greenwich SE10, the disused pub, old wall and outside the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich.
The morning flew by as they say it does when you having fun!
I also leave you with these sneak peek photos from the vintage shoot… so tune back later on this week to check them out!
