Back again at Greenwich!
This engagement shoot was shot on location at the temporary Movement Cafe, Greenwich, which was built to capture the hearts (and tummies!) of the Olympic and Paralympic London 2012 visitors as they traipsed up to Greenwich Park from the DLR station. The outdoor cafe is part shipping crate and part MDF board which was designed by Morag Myerscough. (And yes, it also has wifi!) When I heard that it would only be a temporary stucture, only in place for a year at most, I had to jump at the chance to shoot there!
The words on the boards leading up to the station come from the poem Shipping Good by Lemn Sissay, official poet to London 2012, and the masthead is one of his tweets, but this didn’t prevent me to doing a mashup of my own!
The future bride and groom are a couple dear to my heart, not least because I used to babysit the bride to be when she was young! They met whilst paintballing and got engaged whilst ice-skating. They will be marrying next summer. Also a big thank you to Cassie for helping out and making the engagement shoot enjoyable for all from start to finish!
So without further ado, here are some of my favourites from the session!
Just great, and clearly unique wedding ideas!
Thanks Alice!
