With a nature reserve, sighting of rare birds (penduline tits) and not so rare (parakeets) Thamesmead is the place to capture some wildlife. Thamesmead is wonderfully overgrown with walking and cycling routes along the Thames path which is ideal for capturing the odd fox, horse and even the seals along the River Thames!
Recently this spring, with a handful of local photographers I got to go around the canals and waterways that define Thamesmead to check out the local wildlife. I saw an Egyptian goose for example that just hang out a stone throw from the bus stop.
However, having said that there are also cracking photographs to be had amongst the flora and fauna of the wild bushes and overhanging foliage from people’s gardens. Check out some of my photographs from the area.
